Overview

The Translation website is designed to offer users an easy and intuitive way to translate English word to the three popular Nigerian languages(Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa). This platform is user-friendly and responsive, ensuring accessibility across different devices. The project leverages HTML for structure, CSS and Bootstrap for styling and layout, and JavaScript for dynamic functionality. This project was built for a final year student in Computer Science Department as their final year project. You can check the project here

How it works

  • Introduction: Brief explanation of the website's purpose and how to use the translation tool.
  • Language Selection: Dropdown menus for selecting the source and target languages.
  • Text Area: Input field for users to enter the text they want to translate.
  • Translate Button: Button to trigger the translation process.

Technology Used

  • HTML: Structured the content of the website using HTML5, ensuring semantic markup for better SEO and accessibility.
  • CSS: Applied custom styles using CSS3 to create a visually appealing and consistent design across all pages.
  • Bootstrap: Utilized Bootstrap 4 for responsive design, grid layout, and pre-designed components like navigation bars, buttons, and forms. This ensured the website is mobile-friendly and looks great on various devices.
  • JavaScript: Added interactivity and dynamic features using JavaScript. This includes the translation functionality, form validation, and dynamic content updates.
